Evolutive Mythology Waitlist

Symbolism is crucial in our perception of the world, seen in writing and computing as symbolization. Artists and poets use symbols to convey abstract concepts and emotions, enriching art and literature. Revue {R} offers a Symbolism course to deepen understanding of symbols' use in communication, self-expression, and connecting with others. Mastering symbolism is essential for resonant creative work. Understanding symbols preserves cultural heritage and contributes to civilization.

This Course focuses on the study of religion as a part of the Humanities and a symbolic discourse on existence and divinity, rather than the political institution of religion, which has been marred by scandals. We will delve into the various perceptions and visual representations of the Divine throughout human cultures and history from the East to the West to Africa, and how they influence lives, literature, and art practices.

Evolutive Mythology also seeks to engage mystics and theologians from different religious traditions, as well as atheists, starting with a simple question that the editor-in-chief of Revue {R} answers based on her experience and studies: What is religion?

Murielle Mobengo, who grew up in a household with atheistic, animistic, and Christian influences, pursued studies in world religions and phenomenology at the Catholic University of Lille, located in Flanders, France, and continues to study Eastern scriptures and how they connect with Christianity, Judaism, and other religions.

A Poet (and translator by profession), Murielle is a practitioner and disciple of Kashmiri Shaivism, the humane philosophy that gave rise to Yoga, and a translator of poetry and modern scriptures.

From 2017 to 2022, she co-translated Lemurian Scrolls, a 27-chapter syncretic mythology born in the Hindu Monastery of Kauai, Hawaii, in the 70s, with erudite monks.
