It reveals the full significance of an artist’s work, a collection, or an archive — and gives it lasting public form through books, exhibitions, and institutional legacy projects.
Whether the project begins with a body of work, an archive, a collection, or a curatorial vision, the Polymath brings these elements into a coherent cultural proposition: one that can deepen public understanding, strengthen institutional recognition, and support the legacy’s long-term future.
Who the Polymath serves
The Polymath Program works exclusively with museums, foundations, estates, collections, and cultural organizations that steward established artistic legacies — institutions already in an ongoing relationship with a significant body of work and its public.
It is not a program for individual artists, however accomplished.
What the Polymath develops
Each engagement begins with a single question:
what must this project accomplish, and what does it require to do so?
From that foundation, the Polymath supports:
Artistic publications — the editorial direction and intellectual architecture of significant catalogues, legacy books, and institutional publications.
Exhibition storytelling — the narrative and conceptual framework through which artworks, archives, and ideas form a coherent public experience.
