A Passionate Timeline of Genius in Poetry-Art-Philosophy By Revue Révolution
This timeline, initially published in 2022, traces thematic and spiritual lineages across poetry, art, and philosophy rather than direct biographical influences. Figures grouped within the same age share a common philosophical impulse—whether toward transcendence, reason, or aesthetic grandeur—even when they never directly influenced one another. We map genealogies of consciousness and cultural momentum, not strict causality. This is an interpretive framework meant to provoke reflection on how creative genius emerges in response to the dominant epistemological conditions of its time.
It is subjective by design, passionate rather than comprehensive, and invites dialogue rather than final judgment.
There’s a much larger thesis lurking beneath this timeline, though: the idea that nonduality has always been latent in human culture, and that we’re moving toward recognizing it as the synthesis that resolves the obsolete tension between objective and subjective, reason and transcendence—that’s the real hook.
This timeline becomes a visual proof of concept for that argument.
